When most people hear the words "mixed martial arts," they picture fighters stepping into a cage. But the team behind SBG Williston hopes the community sees something entirely different.
They see families training together. Children learning confidence. Adults discovering a healthy outlet. Neighbors finding friendships and a place where everyone belongs.
That vision is exactly why SBG Williston is opening its doors.
For founder Levi Boehm, bringing martial arts to Williston has been years in the making. After spending years training and traveling throughout the country, he recognized something was missing in the local community.
"Mixed martial arts wasn't really present in a way the community could easily access," Boehm said. "For years, we trained in small corners of gyms and made it work because we loved it. But I always felt the people here deserved something more."
For Boehm, martial arts became much more than learning techniques or competing.
"It's helped me in so many ways on and off the mats," he said. "I wanted to create a place where anyone could experience those same benefits."
The gym operates under a simple motto: One Tribe, One Vibe.
It's a phrase that members take seriously. Read the rest on Williston Graphic
